These are the ones I remembered being featured (female singers):

This Time I Know It's For Real - Donna Summer
I'd Rather Jack - The Jones Girls
Searchin' - Hazell Dean
You'll Never Stop Me From Lovin' You - Sonia
Whatever I Do - Hazell Dean

There were also quite a few Kylie tracks...too many to mention.
Sonia?

Some songs are so strong that no-one can murder them, only damage them severely - as in Witless Useless with I Will Always Love You.

So avoid the Scouse-strangling noise, and hit the original -

Oops - that didn't work.

You should have Skeeter Davis' version first -

which is the original hit version - but KC's is heartbreaking - what a voice!

I have to say that KC sounds like she really is suffering, but SD sounds like she's sucking a lollipop! Pure corn, but she was first to be fair.
I love Karen Carpenter/the Carpenters (Goodbye to Love is one of my favourite tracks with iy's great vocals and guitar work) but I do prefer the Skeeter Davis version of this.
I don't know whether this Sonia song is the one desktop wanted
Karen Carpenter's version is definitely the best
I've always loved Sonia's version as well
But Skeeter? That is awful
I freely admit that Skeeter Davis does sound like a goose farting in the fog, but she is the original hit artist, although I think KC's version is wonderful.
It's probably because I heard the Skeeter Davis one first when i was an impressionable teenager (probably on the Golden Hour or that show where Jimmy Saville played the top 10 from 50s/60s ago).
It sounds like a song Donny and/or Marie Osmond would have covered in the early 70s
I've also answered some of your other posts, desktop, but I'm not sure whether you have seen the answers. If the answers are right please let us know.
