Tonight I was in a local pub and the TV was playing vintage music. One item was Gary Newman performing Are Friends Electric. The date was given as 1979. I could not believe this but having checked it is correct.
Does anyone else have such a poor ability to judge the passing of time?

My daughter who's 20 has just been parascending on holiday. Mrs ZM said oooh I remember when we did that. When we worked it out, she was my daughters age! Terrifying.

I find that you don't realise how long ago something was because you have never had a need to analyse it. Once you do it can be quite a 'wow' moment.

I was talking to a friend I used to know and it transpired that we last spoke in 1984 yet we were talking about it almost as if it was last year!
