Terrible Italian Soprano on Classic FM

Can anybody recall the name of the terrible Italian Soprano that Classic FM flogged to death (in their usual manner) a few years back? She did make at least one recording and a friend unfortunately bought it for me. She could not sing and was more like a pop singer and one was the Seguidilla or Habanera sung in excruiciatingly French. She was so bad she makes Katherine Jenkins sound like a real opera singer!
Fortunately for our ears she seems to have vanished without trace!

Was it that Margarita Yacatan that Clive Anderson featured on his programme?

That would be Margarita Pracatan, but I don't recall her ever being played on Classic FM...

Sorry you are all incorrect it was definitely not Margarita Yacatan I have never heard of her! It was three or four years ago on the CD cover she was dark haired not bad looking but in no way an opera singer. She just murdered the arias she attempted to sing ! I am still puzzled to who it actually was? Somebody out there ust know Thanks. Possibly the CD was issued by EMI but I am not sure ???
