More than likely to be your air filter. It generally does start tapping when its cold. Although it shouldnt be particularly loud.

Never worked on one of those but it sounds like your tappets. I think they have hydraulic tappets on Vauxhalls and when the oil is really cold it can't get into the hydraulic tappets quick enough. Basically the tapping noise is unlubriated (or not enough) hydraulic lifters.
Have you had your oil changed regularly?

Obviously it could be totally something different but without seeing it, it's hard to judge. Take it to a local garage and ask for a second opinion - opinions are free! :)
