Hi, there is something within the system that is not right causing the light to come on, it could be anything from a sensor to the connecting devices, what you are doing may make you think that the full system is running OK, but a bit of advise whether take its obviously up the you, I would get the system checked, there is nothing worse than travelling on a long journey & in the back of your mind thinking THAT, THAT light has not appeared again then, OH Sht your car packs up & it is in the middle of the night on a Motorway.

ive noticed its using more fuel recently...on the down pipe theres a lambda sensor and then theres another sensor just after the catalyst im thinking maybe ones faulty looking at some of the info on the net but which one maybe??
Hi, that seems to answer your question I would if cost permits either replace the 2 or try one then the other, an auto electrician can test and give you a result on the sensors to see if they are faulty. the one I would go for is in the direct fire of water / dirt, is the one near the CAT. but that can be a job and a half as they tend to corrode into the thread & can mean heating it up with either a blow lamp or Oxy. which ever way you go about it. THINK SAFTEY.
