MPV any decent cars out there?

OK Mr CRX has set his mind on a merc estate. Lovey car, nice finishes and gadgets.

But the boot is no bigger than my Cmax and we fill that up easily on trips away.

We have started looking (well i have) at the larger 7 seaters, i love the look of the Grand voyager when its fully kitted up and the new Dodge Journey (but thats brand new and i want 2nd hand)

The zafiras OK but with all 7 seats in use has no boot space at all.

any recommendations? And what come with a decent spec and fairly good MPG (would probably look at diesel rather than petrol)

Hi Red. I think you will find the Zafira' problem common to the vast majority of 7 seat MPV's. Unless you go for somthing really big (and expensive) like the Merc R series or GL range. Have you considered a top-box?

There's a new Nissan Quashquai out which has 7 seats but dont know about luggage space. Heres a foreign review (note the bit about 'when the 3rd row of seats are folded away.......'

lol got a top box already for when we go away.

The Quashqui's boot even with seats 6&7 stowed away is still just the same as the Cmax and merc.

The big Mercs are lovely but they are silly money and tax will be ridiculous in a couple of years lol

thanks anyway
