Screen Wash Help

Hi, Had terrible problems with my screen wash jets freezing up last week which caused me nightmare journeys to work.

I did have some winter screen wash in my water not that it did me much good.

Is it possible to just pure screen wash in without any water or can that cause problems in itself? I can't afford my wipers not to work properly on my journey as its along such a busy main road and the screen gets constantly dirty - Any help/advice?

Empty the bottle and put a splash of screen wash stuff in. Fill the remainder with half water and half methelated spirits.
Used this for years and years in all makes of car. Never frozen up and always does the trick. My present Ford is outside now with the mixture in it and this morning a deep frost was all over. Perfect.

Only problem with antifreeze Norman is that it is a paint corrosive and would strip the pint around the nozzles. Meths is simply a spirit which evaporates.

Don't put ordinary anti-freeze in the washer bottle ! - as paul says its will rot the paintwork.
A 50/50 mix of winter screen wash and water will usually stop it from freezing up.
