learner owns car - how much to add a driver to insurance?

Hi there,

I own a car, but as a learner I cannot drive on motorways etc, so how much would it cost to add someone who has been driving for years, no claims etc, to my insurance?

and how long would it take to do ?

Can't tell you how much but most insurance companies will do it over the phone and put a cover note in the post the same day. If you go to a broker it could probably be done on the spot.

It depends on the driver's experience/age etc and the type of car etc. Most forms will cover you instantly over the telephone anddrop a cover note in the post just like dzug says !
