Jinlun Motorcycles

Has anyone heard of these? They look very similar to Suzuki models, and I was wondering if they are made under licence in China. Are they a bargain buy, like Skodas were a few years ago, or are they best left alone?

Don't suppose they are licensed as the Chinese motor industry is at the current stage of ripping off everybodys designs and producing third rate vehicles.

curious that. the other day i saw a guy riding a hongdo bike which looked a little like an old honda cb 125, yes i'm that old....

Hi, where I am we have loads of these chinese bikes. They are all clones of older honda, suzuki etc... They have so many different names that it is silly. All the spare parts seem to be sort of interchangeable so I wonder if they are not all one big Chinese manufacturer making ''different'' brands in the same factory.

Quality ? well that is another question, the mechanical bits seem to be OK although the standard of the assembly work is very variable from bike to bike, but all the plastic parts are very poor stuff and break really easily, the only good thing is that it can be repaired with super glue which is not possible with the plastic that real Honda's use.
