This must be very frustrating. I have posts across my drive to prevent this happening but what would you do?

He/She would get a shock when they came to collect it, if it was on my drive.!!

What would you do?
Well, the easiest way would be to double-lock my gates, not answer the door,or maybe let him/her find one of the tyres was flat,by accident of course.
Imagine the distress of returning to find your car's been vandalised, and when it's on a private drive too.
Nothing's safe anywhere these days. Officer.

If it's like my car, douglas, it has cameras that record front, back and sides when motion is detected.
Quite.
If there was room I would be happy to pay for the hire of a small skip to block the car in.
Question Author
So you'd be caught on my camera and convicted of criminal damage.

Good plan, FF. :)
You could ask around, see if you can find a rogue who will nick it and joyride it somewhere fun.

Here we see again how the system isn't for the benefit of the citizens. I had a similar problem when some scumbag dumped tarmac all over my garage forecourt. My problem apparently, no one else wanted to know. Private lane apparently so, "Tough".

Yes, OG, I agree. Fly tipping is a huge, expensive problem for farmers especially if the waste is hazardous. I trust you've installed CCTV outside your house.
If I had a grandson with a low loader (he does things with cars that seem to have to be moved around on low loaders) and lots of mates and they removed the vehicle to one of Kettering's expensive Pay and Display car parks who'd be responsible for the overdue fees in the car park?
Question Author
I really don't know. My gut instinct is that the person who put the car in the car park is responsible - leaving a vehicle forms a contract between the person who parked/left the vehicle and the car park owners.

I would have the car moved to a public road without parking restrictions and notify the police of where the car is.
When we did recovery mu husband did remove cars from situations like this one, left a note telling them where to find it.
So , what if this car was blocking your car in, preventing you from leaving your drive .
Would the situation change ?
Probably the best bet, Hc........x
Question Author
Apparently not, Bazile, although it is an offence to park on the public highway across a drive as it obstructs the householder from driving out.
nuts , just nuts , isn't it ?
I can only suspect that this person who left it there has got the wrong address
Question Author
It is! I've never had any problem getting the details of a registered keeper from DVLA - last time it was £3.50 so unless the rules are changed I can't understand why the person in the link wasn't able to do so
