Go to Halfords, they fit bulbs for free and I'm sure they won't take any notice of your aftermarket set up. Whatever happens, it's worth a try.

D
just get a replacement bulb, what's the problem??
Halfords do not fit bulb for for free. They charge a fair amount and often make a mess of the job. I used them a couple of times and on the last occasion I had to go back because the beam was not properly aligned. They still didn't get it right. I now go to a local garage who charge me less than half of what I paid at Halfords.
I don't think Halfjob will look at after market equipment.
Sorry if my answer was misleading. My local Halfords, and I assume they all have the same policy, fit bulbs that you have bought in store free of charge.

I have used this service on a number of vehicles where I've found it very difficult to fit the bulbs myself.

Electrochem, You don't realign the beam when you change a bulb. However, it would be possible to accidentally move the headlight unit, and Halford wouldn't have the equipment to rectify it.

derekpara where in my answer does it say that the beam must be re-aligned? Whenever a headlamp bulb is changed, it is wise to get the alignment checked. When I got a bulb changed at Halfords, it was done during the day and it wasn't until I drove at night that I noticed the bad alignment. I went back and they still didn't get it right I was charged nearly £16.00 for the bulb and fitting. Done at my local garage for £6.00, including checking the beam pattern.
Actually the headlamp alignment does depend on the bulb; the exact position of the filament inside the bulb is critical. In my early days of motoring it was common practice to check headlamp alignment after a bulb change. Nowadays bulbs seem to be made to a higher tolerance, at least, the bulbs I've changed have been. If I change a bulb I point the car at the garage door and adjust the new lamp to be the same level as the old one.
