Most of our neighbours park their cars in the cul de sac and not on their drives.
I come in from work and the road is blocked and I cannot get my car onto my own drive! It drives me mad!
Why do people park their cars on the road and not on their drives is beyond me!!?
Please help!

ditto GGRRRR !!!
Sprinkle a few tacks
sugar in their petrol, potatoes up their exhaust pipes...
GROUP MEDITATION....!.. death to cul de sac drivers who do not park in drive ...ohmmmmmmm....
Although this does not answer your question, most properties in the street that I live have a double garage and hard standing for at least another vehicle.
If I parked two cars in my double garage, I could get three more on the hard standing within my property.
And yet still cars are parked in the road, up and down the street.
Isn't it illegal to obstruct someone's driveway?
Without stating the obvious - you have spoken to the neighbours haven't you? failing that can you not put some sort of obstruction to keep your driveway clear? failing that begin to take photographs of the obstructions with times and date and notify the local authority. You are fully entitled to access to your own place of abode.
If you have a dropped kerb then it is illegal to park in front of it. A quiet word with those who park there could work as there are many who do not know about this rule as it hasn't always been this way. If you have to drive over pavement without dropped kerb then different law applies.
They probably park on the road because they can not get into their own drive because everyone is parking on the road.

I get issues reversing into my drive and getting out occasionally. Bad enough whoever put my dropped kerb in (it came with the house) got it slightly off centre, but more annoying when someone with a vehicle larger than a small town car tries to park to the side that hasn't enough room to park a larger vehicle, and overshoots the edge that is already not right. But even if folk park legally, if someone parks close either side of the gate it's difficult, if in addition there are two more parked the other side of the road it is a nightmare. And that's not even a cul de sac.
To a point I have the same issue, I live on a main stretch of road, I never drive in unless I'm doing oil changes etc, when I try to back in I have to block the highway, do I bother, "No" there is no give an take with selfish people today It's all Me Me Me, take a few snaps & have a word with the Highways dept / council, you might get some help here.
People can be so lazy. There are plenty of parking spaces in my street but people want to park as close to their house as possible even if it means parking on a corner and restricting the view of people pulling out of the junction.

We need Scruffbag to tell us whether or not she has a dropped kerb to access her drive way, then we can advise her appropriately.
get a cheap 4x4 with huge bull bars and then be a little clumsy when you park. That'll clean it up in a day or 2.
