True - the sexy nun. Always see a few of them at Halloween and fancy dress parties.
"A person's culture is not a fancy dress costume"

Yes, it is you po-faced loser. Get over yourselves and your selective outragedness. If you're offended, so be it.

Someone might have said, sometime.
Yes, it is harmless fun.

I dressed up as a nun once .... no one believed I really was a nun though. Must have been the short skirt and fishnets.
I think it says more about the person wearing it, than the person offended by it.

You can excuse absolutely anything by saying it's 'harmless fun' - but that depends on your position in the situation.

I wrote a stinking letter to my local British Homestores store because they were selling slippers with the words OLD and GIT embroidered on them.

I told them I would be deeply upset if I even dreamed that my grandchildren would buy them for me - knowing that they would not.

I also suggested a pair of ladies' mules with IDLE on one, and *** on the other - hey, we're all just having a laugh aren't we!

My belief is that if you are setting out to mock something that other people take seriously simply to dress in a silly ugly costume, then you are lacking in a sense of empathy, to say nothing of a sense of self-respect.

The censored word rhymed with 'bag'.

The sad thing is, someone might think of it in a year or so, and put them into production.

I'll have to hold my sides in case they split!

How does me saying I would be upset - offended if you will - translate into me being offended on behalf of others?
