My Fiesta starts from cold first time and runs OK. However when I stop and turn off the engine it won't start up again and I have to leave it about 10 minutes before it will start. Anyone any ideas what the problem might be please?

Is it a diesel or a petrol engine?
try pumping the accelerator a few time before you turn the key or press the accelerator while you are turning the key.
A dodgy crankshaft sensor possibly.

Thanks for all your replies. It's a petrol engine. Tried pumping the accel but still won't start. Looks like a visit to the garage!
This seems to be a common problem. The most likely reason for the hot-start failure lies with the fuel pump. I suggest your best bet is to go to a trusted independent garage - not a main dealer. Good luck with it.
