Reading the thread below has reminded me of the sticker ( placed on the windscreen of my little Ford focus , by the Main Dealer from whom it was bought ) stating the next service date .

Given that it is out of warranty - being a 2010 plate - would you recomend having the service done at a main dealer or not ?

No Brazile, get it done at your Local family garage for 1/4 of the cost.
i`ve always used my local garage and he doesnt add on jobs, he will flag up things to do soon - we are usually on the same page because I`m into preventive maintenance. He stamps the service book, makes sure I get proper invoices and emails me MOT reminders. I`ve never had a buyer even look at the service book, garage or private, so not sure where you get it done is an issue.
On a 5 year old Focus I would agree with TWR...but not on a nearly new Q5!!
^^^or on a nearly new anything!
TWR will be taking his to a garage from now on .....because all his tools have gone rusty in that dodgy shed..:-)
I do my own Bright, It's because I work in all Weathers they get wet lol, I should dry them really.
TWR.....did you get the hedge cutters working?
Depending on the car's Mileage Bazile, It's may be time the belt was changed, what's the Mileage? if above 60000, get it replaced along with the tensioners.
Yes, fully working order now, it turned out the Jet behind the Diaphragm was blocked, I replaced a little return for the pull cord today, now works well.
