Just brought a personal number plate for my car. I received The V750/1 from the DVLA and when checked by the garage they put my new number plates on the new vehicle.
What happens now?...... Do I complete and return the V750 (2nd page)........... thank you for your help as this is not very clear to me and the guy in the garage (nor the guy who made the plates) didn't know either x........ your help is very much appreciated x

Gusta, I have just had a Private plate transferred from one car to another, I had to fill in form 317 enclose the V5 for both cars including the MOTs for each car with a fee of £80.

Has the car been registered with your cherished plates on?
Question Author
Yes it is registered and the garage checked the documents and put the plates on for me
In that case I dont think any action is needed. Is the car registered in your name.

The car is yet to be delivered but I have paid for it and it is registered in my name.
What I wanted to know is how do I let the DVLA know that the original car registration has changed

Thank you TWR. Very helpful :)
TWR I have done the same but they have sent ALL my paperwork back saying they have no record of car tax for my New car but the garage did tax it even though it's 0 tax and I have even put my reg number in on the dvla site and it comes up taxed. I,m so confused.
