What busy and urgent lives some people must have that a few seconds is that important to them .

Here i frequently am , proceeding along obeying the speed limit , only to be over taken ( sometimes dangerously ) by some prat , just in order to save a few seconds .

If i was a, Miss Daisy driver , i could see the point

The clown are looking for the Quickest way to their maker Bazile, If the manoeuvre was dangerous, report them.
The interesting thing (from the point of view of 'the prat behind') is how few of the "I'm doing the speed limit, so you can wait" merchants are actually doing 30/40/50/60/70.

Most of them are relying on their speedos, which always over-read. Then they drop a bit "to be safe" - which results in 23/33/43/53/63 (if that) - which results in them being a mobile roadblock.

Bear in mind, though, dave that the speedometer of the driver behind almost certainly also under records. But most importantly the speed limits are the upper speed that can be sustained, not the minimum that must be achieved at all costs.
The bus driver is my chauffeur.
I have a GPS speedo NJ, it has a slight 'lag' but is otherwise 100% accurate - it reveals surprising insights into the habits of other drivers, especially near 'safety' cameras.

As a by-the-by, the standard of maths teaching in the UK must be appalling - given the number of motorists for whom the concept of 'average speed' is such a mystery ...
Teaching does not necessarily mean that those who are supposed to be learning actually can be bothered to do so.

If you can upgrade that to take out elephant-racing HGVs then I'm on board ...

My thoughts exactly Bazile, just what do these driver's think they are gaining, just a few seconds [if any] earlier at their destination...and a heck of a lot more stress, wear & tear on the vehicle, etc.
