I'm asking the following again in this new thread because i'm not sure how many people return to a thread in which they contribute

I'm not having a good day - just picked up car from garage - they cant do it today - they can do it tommorrow - so i will have to take car back there tommorrow

On return to work i've just noticed that a piece of the plastic bit on the key where you press to lock the car has broken off , showing the workings inside .
The plastic bit that you press to open is also broken as well ,and just about still attached , barely

Would you accuse the garage of causing it ?

I did not notice if they were loose / part broken before I left the car with the garage .

I assume it's going to cost me quite a few pennies tp replace key

Presumably, you WOULD have noticed if the key had been damaged before you left it....so, maybe somebody dropped it and stood on it, perhaps?
These keys can cost a bomb to replace, too.
Ask the Garage if they know anything about it as the key was perfect when the car was left.
