My boot will not unlock either by central key fob or manual door locks. Could it be the. Selanoid. If so are the expensive to purchase.

Surely it's spelt solenoid. That should help Googling the price.

First get the owners manual out. There is a way of locking the tailgate which stops it unlocking with the central locking. Then you have to turn the key in the right direction to get it to open. It's a security option which can drive you nuts.
It usually happens if someone uses the key (not the central locking) to open the tailgate.
