My sister has a 9 year old Megane Coupe. The wipers have stopped working. I brought it to a garage specialising in vehicle electrics. They can't find a cause and can't solve the problem. Tested the motor which is working as are the fuses and connections. The mechanic is baffled! Has anyone had a similar experience? Can anyone offer any insight? Thanks.

These guys know their business, and there may just be a person who has had the same problem. Very strange problem. But as I am sure you are aware electrics and Renault do not allways agree with each other.
Have they tried running a temporary fused feed direct from the battery to rule out a break in the car's wiring?
If pos, take the lead off the wiper motor & insert a test light, get someone to apply power to the wipers & check if there is a break in the direct feed, have they checked or replaced the relay?

Thanks to all. Joined Renault Forums as advised but before I received a reply to my query the car was left at my door, repaired. Turns out it was a break in an earth connection. Cost £25. Well worth it considering some of the stories I heard about Renault electrics in the interim. Thanks again.
