it's diesel, GT Msport must be badges only.
"...very few other companies have bothered with the idea of a sporting diesel."

there's a good reason for that!
Kayless has obviously not driven one yet, superb diesel engines in BMW s & MErcs, also there are diesel engined vehicles in British Touring Car !!! so they cant be that bad.
There's a touring car with a Diesel engine? Evidence please!

Unless you mean in an all diesel race of course! There are also all lawn mower races you know!
Kayless obviously has no idea about touring cars or diesel engines!

p.s.

They banned diesels in the 2009 season because they "had a clear advantage over petrol cars"
Ok fair enough, but they still sound like a bag of spanners to me.
Is it 1996? Diesel's don't sound that bad nowadays.
cheers for that guys, a very blinkered view.....kayless seems to think diesels are back in the 90s still, so so wrong, i drive diesel mercs and they are just as quite as a petrol engine and as responsive.
i also own and drive a diesel Peugeot , i wouldnt of bought it if had sounded like 'a bag of spanners'
Out of interest what do you drive kayless ?
obviously AUDI have no idea what they are doing...

I have never heard a car standing next to the engine and not been able to tell if it's a diesel. Perhaps inside you cannot hear them but outside they still sound like a 1965 moggy with the tappits gone.
Back in 2000 we were mixing Propane vapour with diesel.
You want to see those go .. scary : )

Kayless.....I would love to agree with you ..but then we would both be wrong.....0-62 in 6s....with a 2 ton car..not bad for a bag of spanners
I said they SOUND like a bag of spanners, no doubt modern diesels have improved.
'improved' is an understatement. I am still interested to know what car you drive, Kayless. An F-reg Transit by any chance?
I have a BMW.
And a Yamaha R1 by any chance?
what car is that chuck?
