Ford Transit Starting problem

When i try to start it, sometimes it will go then othertimes it will just click from the starter motor. I have cleaned the battery terminals, engine to earth, starter motor terminals.I have also changed the starter motor for a brand new one, I have also had the battery checked. It will start every time if i jump start from another car. Anyone got any ideas please.

Thanks
Bob

Check your Ign Switch, you may have a bad connection at the spade connectors.
That's not switch problem. It is the Starter solenoid/coil.
You need the starter overhauled. You may fix it by stripping/rebuilding, but the problem will return.
It might just be a matter of cleaning and tightening the contacts on the starter and solenoid. I had a similar problem many years ago and the main feed wire (copper) to the solenoid had just about rotted through.
As you start it get some one to tap or hit the starter, this will highlight if the starter motor is at fault, had this years ago on a Toyota, Honda and a Renault
if mk6, then flywheel deterioration will put rubish in the starter causing it to fail. check ''ford transit forum" very helpfull.
also check earth to body from battery.
