o/s/f window stopped working on vauxhall frontera

Hi
I have just got a frontera sport and the drivers window has stopped in the down position.The fuse is ok and the motor is clicking

This is a generalised answer rather than one from experience of the Frontera.
It sounds like a problem with the window winder motor/gearbox, or maybe a cable from it to the window winding mechanism: the clicking is the motor turning something but its no longer connected to move the window itself.
