I have scoured my road maps for this. I am travelling North to Lancashire but want to JOIN the M6 at Junc 15 (the Stoke turnoff) coming up on A roads from Telford.

I can see you can get onto the M6 southbound at Junc 15 and off the same junction north on the M6.....but there does not seem to be a direct entry on to the M6 Northbound here!!

Thanks all

I would advise from Telford coming up A49 Reaching the M56 At J1, you will miss the build up at Congleton, Lymm. the A49 is a good road.
Put your route into this route planner it will tell you

I've just had a look at googlemaps and yes you can go northbound, zoom right in at junc 15 and you'll be able to see the slip road via a roundabout on the east side of the motorway.
Google Maps can answer questions like this.

Go into the Google Maps, change to the "aerial" view (or whatever it is called nowadays) and then zoom down to study the road layout.
the northbound "on" ramp at J15 is often very busy, and is rather short and hazardous (it's constrained by a bridge). TWR's suggestion is a fine alternative.
The worst thing about the on ramp is that is takes a hard left turn as you go down to join the motorway, but as you join the carriageway, you are on a rising incline, so some slow lorries need to be negotiated as you join the traffic stream.

Thanks andy-hughes and others.

The reason I don't want to go down the M54 way is that I could meet the M6 at Junc 12 but I understand there is a lot of roadworks north from 12 to 14.
So I thought I could use A roads and enter at Junc 15.

Thanks again
I have one main route that takes you away from the M54>>M6, It takes you down the A49 To Warrington M56) J1. But that's up to you
