Recently had new rear brake discs and pads fitted. Two weeks later my brake peddle seems to be 'biting' - kicking back against my foot slightly - and my ABS warning light comes on every few days- and then goes off. I dont want to get ripped off by the garage I went to- because it was the original dealer the car came from and they ripped me off big time. They found lots of 'issues' which need urgent attention whilst fitting te brakes. Spent £1000 in total. I had to take it back after warning lights came on with the engine over heating. I had to really push for them to fix it as they said it was just a coincedence. My question is- from someone who knows nothing about cars- do I have grounds for complaint or is it just me, and I know they are going to seriously drag their feet over the entire issue.

Would we be taking about K.F. by any chance? £1000, what the hell did they find to repair for that sort of money? contact the garage & give them the chance to put the brakes right, ABS comes in to action when you depress HARD on the peddle ( are you aware of that) regards the ABS Light, you have a fault in the rear brake pads, it could just be the sensor wire but even so, it want sorting by the garage.
