vauxhal corsa 1.4 ..V plate strange noise from front wheel

my son has a V plate corsa and has a strange noise from font passenger wheel. the noise sounds like a playing card you use to clip on your bike wheel as a kid.noise gets clicks fast with speed.
but when i remove the wheel and give everything a shake and wiggle the noise goes away but comes back after 10-20 miles
Anyone have any idea please.

Might be a prutruding rubber plug from an old puncture repair?
Ca you try the spare wheel to see if is the wheel or something in the hub?
similar noise on my astra.it was a built in audible alarm signifying disc brakes worn.if this helps.
The sound sounds like a worn CV joint but I would expect that to only be noisy when the steering is at or near full lock.

I would also check the liner inside the wing for security and also to see if there is evidence of it rubbing against the tyre,
