Quiz type programme in the 80's

I'm tearing my hair out trying to think of a programme that was around in the 80's. The man that did it had a really huge smile and perfect teeth and when he talked his jaw moved from side to side (rather then up and down). I think he had slicked back hair too.
The name of the show is on the tip of my tongue. Help me please before I go to bed.
Thanks

My memory is coming back slightly !! I remember that it was a bit like Catchphrase where bits of the answer is revealed and the pictures give the answer. eg: The letter 'i' would be a picture of an eye, 'u' would be a pic of a ewe and so on.

Concentration? The contestants had to memorise matching two pictures from a board.

No, it was none of these and I can't even find it on Ethels link. I'm sure it was British and I can picture the man so well. I thought at first it was Concentration when I saw Sgt,Rock's answer but when I Googled it it didn't give much away.

No, that wasn't it either. It was a bit like Catchphrase where part of a picture was revealed but the punchline in pictures rather than writing. It is really difficult to describe but if the answer was 'Here we go' the clue would be a picture of an earwig and then maybe a picture of something else that sounds like 'O' eg: bow, but there would be a line through the b to make it ow so the answer would be earwig ow.
Blimey I've confused myself now but that is the best way I can describe it lol

What you describe is properly called a pictogram.

You could googling 'pictogram game show' or 'pictogram tv show' and see if you can find it that way

I would say it was definitely 'Concentration'. Part of the show was 'Rebus' which used pictograms.

Here is a clip of the US version:
