Here is another, this time in colour !

First saw him at the cinema in 1954. We had gone to see Snow White and one of his short films was the 'B' movie.
Me to, mikey never missed a program , watched it on our 9 inch screen TV!
oh how we laughed when he danced the lancers :-)
I loved Mr Pastry! He was so funny.
I liked him but Dad thought he was stupid, along with Charlie Drake, so we rarely saw him, the days of one TV.
.....from the same era who was the character depicted by a man dressed as a scatty, accident prone old lady?
Sorry, but I could never see anything funny about the man or his act.
Mother O'Reilly?
^^played by Arthur Lucan.
Old Mother Riley - nearly right Jackdaw.
Kitty McShane, who used to play 'her' daughter, was in fact his wife.
I remember him well. I think he was quite an academic in real life!
Thank you, Old Mother Riley it was.
Just looked him up, he was from a theatrical family, not an academic! Think I am mixing him up with Stanley Unwin!
Remember Cardew The Cad?
No, Togo. I don't. Who was he?
I'll throw Jimmy Clitheroe into the mix.
