Yes, it was good. I first thought, 'another bit of Danish, dark, turgid misery' but ended up on the edge of my seat. I think there will be more 'cold cases'.
We should prepare ourselves for more of the rebel, poker-faced cop at odds with his chief, bending the rules to get a result.

Yes, we were in two minds whether to watch it or not after reading the Radio Times critic! But we did and thought it was a good story full of suspense, and yes it would make an excellent series. ( but are all of the police in Scandinavia in an acrimonious separation with a recalcitrant child in tow?)
Looking on IMDB there are several more lost cases but we will just have to wait for them to air.
I'm currently on book 6 "The Hanging Girl", really enjoying it. WIsh I'd known the film of the first book was on TV last night.
