I really enjoyed last nights show ! I distinctly remember the original airing of the script, back in the 60's. Everybody involved were bloody marvellous, especially the actress that played Garnet's wife....a worthy successor to Dandy Nichols.

More please !

I didn't watch it. I can't see the point of resurrecting old comedies while the originals are still available to be seen. I'm glad you enjoyed it though, mikey.
I didn't watch it. Remakes are rarely anything like as good as the originals. I seem to have missed one of those mikey!

Oh, missed it.
Would've liked to have seen how it went.
just watched it sorry mikey i thought it was awful
Will try and watch on catch up.

The standard of some comedies is so poor today that I don't mind if this is only half as good as the original.
I generally don't enjoy remakes but in the case of something like Porridge I am curious to watch it up on catch-up as I heard some good reports, and I may give mikey's one a go too. Remakes for me are rarely successful if you were a great fan of the original but, just as with cover versions of great songs, occasionally someone makes a great cover and sometimes even improves on the original.

Trouble is I went over the download limit last month. Too much time here I suspect.

Beggar !.....not sure what I am doing wrong.
Here is the link...just remove the three x's in front ::

I think that maybe having to confirm that you have a licence, may be the issue.

(Or else AB isn't coping.)

I give up !....its on the iplayer though !
-- answer removed --
I feel I must try giving a link that works :-

It's all very strange because, if I send the link by e/mail, it works for the recipient. I think it's AB which could be refusing to accept iPlayer videos because of the TV licence question. However, if one copies and pastes into their Browser the link as given above by O-G the iPlayer will activate but may ask you to confirm that you have a TV Licence......Answer appropriately !!

Hans.
Ignore all that I have said. Mamyalynne's Link, Works. Perhaps she'll let us into her secret for establishing the link. It's brilliant.

Hans.
