Good morning Gness - wherever you are lOL - believe you are in Ireland presumably South of which is very beautiful and having a sup of the Oul Gness- well not that at this time of morning.

Called over to cancer friend yesterday who has got home a little better but showed me her back which was on fire as if it was sun burnt and she was going nuts.

I am asking very carefully that if I were to dab her with the watered down tree oil - would it help.

As far as I can see these "creams" are not working as she has been using them for 3 weeks and also this has come from the dertermaology word.

Personally I would do it for her but then I am afraid of "hurting her more". Also this rash is firey that I do think she needs an antiobotic orally (but that was the only that triggered it off - which she said was HORRENDOUS as it came onto her face, behind her eyes and swelled her face.

All the chemo, breasts off etc - she has said this that the most she suffered

Also hickman will not come out on16th June and this DEPENDS on this rash clearing up - hickman will not come out.

PS - I would like to clean her with the tree oil as well can you buy large bottle of tree oil if so - could you provide me a link - thank you and have a great time in Ireland Du Sord .

i am calling this tree oil - but know it is tea tree oil - sorry
Hi, Conne....just landed in Roscommon......don't put the Tea Tree Oil on her skin.......it's fine to put a few drops in a bath but not even watered down on skin that's fragile.
I don't know what to suggest in this case....we never found out anything that really worked for MrG in that situation.....and a friend is going throught the same now.
Tea Tree Oil is what I used to clean hospital rooms and wards to keep MrG infection free.....

Aloe Vera is worth investigating......I met a lady who bought the Aloe Vera drink to help her skin problems....but that wasn't cancer....x
Aloe Vera is your best plan Conne. My Vera used it to great effect when she had cancer, twice.
You can get it as gel,. It can be used instead of soap too.

Gness, Have a pint of Liffey water for me!
Interesting, Boaty......did Vera try the drink as well as the creams?
Oh I will, Boaty....just the one?....x
I think calamine lotion might help. Dab it on gently.
Poor lady, it sounds very painful.
'just the one was being polite. You know very well it's illegal to have one in Ireland! :-)

No, she didn't have the drink, but found the cream was a very good soap too.
Well I'm on my third.....and the chap across the table is singing The Fields of Athenry.......x
Memories. :-)

My heart's is breaking for her (Sat) this is Sun) - she asked me to look at the back and of course it is an infection - boy, I'm not a nurse nor profess to be - but it looked sorta to (she is a very white skinned lady) she looked surnburnt.

The horrendous thing about it all - that is if the skin disease doesn't calm down (dermataology (wrong spe) - they wont' remove her hickman on 15 June =- ie if she has the skin disease - they wont' take out the hickman#

Sista and myself doesn't understand where is the connection.
She really should have a point of contact with someone from the Cancer Ward/Department - this sounds miserable and there may be something to ease her pain somewhat.

I hope she can get some help rather than struggle on like this.

She should also ask what the connection is with the skin issue and line removal.
It sounds horrible - I'd go more with aloe vera, which is super-soothing (that's without knowing all the details).
