Apple have a new system to allow people to share apps and purchases made through itunes. Basically an adult in the house sets themselves up as the Organiser and then you can five other people in the group and everyone shares purchases. Sounds good in theory, but not when it comes to payment. I am woman, 40 years old, I would say I was old enough to make my own decisions whether I purchase apps or music, but despite my years because I am not the account organiser I need my husbands approval to buy anything! According to the following a family be removed, but can I remove myself? https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201081 I am attempting to remove myself through my iphone as I want to make music purchases but if I got to settings>icloud> there is no family option for me to choose. Can anyone help?

Im astounded that I can't opt between two different payment options (my husbands or mine) why on earth did apple create a system that only allows one purse holder. Mind you, given my taste in music, supervision may not be such a bad idea ;-)
Surely if the wife is the first person to set up the account she is the account organizer.

So in that case it is bad for husbands.

Nothing sexist about it.
