Apparently the jackpot is up to about 150 million pounds.

I won't be buying a ticket because I fear what my family's life would be like if I won.

Am I alone?

Am I stupid?

I don't think you are alone or stupid at all.

Don't get me wrong, I would love to have loads of money.

However that much would be a millstone. around my neck.
No, not alone or stupid. I don't do any kind of lottery now, as I really don't want to win millions. That kind of money could wreck everything.
If I won this money I would at least enjoy watching all of my "FRIENDS" !! come crawling out from under that big pile of Dung that they all seemed to slide under when the going got tough.I am not BITTER just CRAZY.
Most people who do the euro have probably given some thought as to what they do if they won, In our case by the time we'd sorted out our family and friends, looked after a our favourite charities we'd probably be down to a more reasonable £50 mill.
No, not silly at all. I used to sell the lottery tickets at our local post office and you would be surprised how many customers used to say to me"Well, im going in it but i really dont want to win!" Personally i think theres only so much a person and their family really needs andthere are so many worthy charities that could put the money to very good use, hospitals for example.
One thing that always amazes me is that to hear people talk nobody wants to win but they're all down at the shop buying their tickets and trying to win, especially when the jackpot is huge.
I want to win it...
why a millstone, give the majority of it away to charity/friends/family.
So do I craft,I reckon we could do a lot off good with that sort of money and still have enough left over to live the good life.
I wouldn't have answered as above if I had gone and bought a ticket - that would be silly, I haven't.
Exactly paddywak, in fact my retirement days would be filled with largesse...
I'm not going to buy a ticket because I never win anything (well maybe a few small things) but I would like to win something big for the pleasure it would give me to give it away to all the people around me who need it.
Don't go public at winning or too flash at spending. Simple.
When is the draw?

If I win all abers can have £100ea, except Ed coz he wont shorten my name ;)
Hopkirk, if you win, you will IMMEDIATELY have a whole load of best friends you never even knew existed before.
Not stupid Hopkirk, just misguided ! Give the £150M to me when you win it and I will make sure that it is used properly !
Then share it with your friends, Hoppy....old buddy, old pal.
Hopkirk....have I told you I loved you lately ?
You are alone I'm afraid!
