As a tribute to the late Sir Richard Attenborough, BBC 4 are showing 10 Rillington Place on

Thursday night at 10:15 p.m. (11/09/2014).

That is, assuming that that Auntie doesn't change the schedules again (They were supposed to show the Ian Dury biopic Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll on Saturday night, but pulled it for some reason).

This is a film that I have never seen, but I know it's rated as one of his best performances (In front of the Camera). The Radio Times did a feature on the real story a couple of weeks ago, so I think I'll give it a go tomorrow night.

Fantasti, factual chilling film.Brilliant acting by all.Seen it many times.Enjoy it( if one can enjoy multiple murder themes)
Superb movie. He plays the part brilliantly.
It is excellent - and it manages the side-issue of being a wonderful advocate of the abolition of capital punishment.

Attenborough is truly chilling as the reptilian Christie - a great film.

I'm sure the victims would find great comfort by that view.
john hurt was hung for being stupid, retro.
Well John Hurt should'nt of taken on the role then!!!!.
shouldn't that be shouldn't have. ;o)
It should shouldn't it :)
A superb film. Give it a go.

Shame svejk has spoiled the ending for you !! :-)
Next week i'll be revealing the end of 'Titanic'. ;)
Careful Svejk. NJ is donning his black cap.
No, please don't, svejk. I've not seen that film yet ! :-)
I would also recommend reading Ludovic Kennedy's book on which the film was based.
NJ Don't bother then. Watch a Night to Remember with Kenneth Moore. No SFX but a bit more factual IMO.
Oh I've seen that one, retro. Didn't realise they portrayed the same story !!!!
Thanks for heads-up Stephen G....fab film.
Lol @ the banter....is it allowed in here, away from CB? ;)

I can't recommend this film enough. Dicky was a much better actor than most people credit him. Its also a damning indictment of capital punishment.
Mikey. I would have said that most people thought he was a superb actor.
I agree Naomi. But I was just saying that he was given more credit for his directing than his acting. Nice to see his younger brother is going back to the Great Barrier Reef again, for the BBC. The Attenboroughs...what a family !
ugh it is about mairder -

OK if like retrocop you can do real life murder.

I cant - I like my little pony films ( and Chekov )
