I just think its a very depressing programme, not to be watched if your feeling abit down!
That's all part of his persona laid back, unemotional dark makes for great TV
I like the brooding darkness of it although I think wallander would be better played by someone other than dear luvvie Kenneth..
Very fond of Kenny - but not his Wallander.
I have just watched last weeks episode, and thought exactly the same.
I much prefer Krista Henriksson playing Wallender, even though it's in
Swedish..

I quite like it, even though Wallander always looks as though he needs a good wash and shave. All those Swedish noir films are the same. Cold empty scenery etc.
We enjoyed it last week - missed it this week.
Can't stand Branagh.................don't know what the lovely Emma ever saw in him.
I much prefer Justified, Raylan just shoots the baddies instead of trying to understand them. ( I was going to type basterds not baddies but thought better of it)
I'm shocked by Wallander.

Not a bit of Ikea to be seen!
Mr.c and I cant stand the programme.
Totally agree with you chi-chi, also the Swedish version didn't seem so grey.
I love Wallender, and all the other Scandanavian police dramas, though I don't like Branagh in the role, in the same way I could never in a million years understand why John Hannah was the original Rebus.
Zebo

The production company that made the originals was/is part-owned by a certain J Hannah.
