Watched the first episode last night - not too sure about whether or not I liked it. The Swedish policewoman was very annoying and unappealing, forever changing her top and being very snotty to everybody. The Danish policeman was ok - very laid back. Various people were in the story and I can't figure where they'll fit in. It doesn't help when I can't even pronounce their names. I shall watch the second part tonight and decide!

I watched both.

I noticed in both Sarah Lund series, that the Danes like to run off on tangents, that when you think about it are not only red herrings but really don't have much to do with the plot apart from a means to pad it out.

i.e the teacher in the Killing. So where its going I don't know.

I think you will like her less after No 2 however she obviously is "strange"

I am recording all of these then watch one after the other, I don't get into
them if I watch one at a time.

The Killing No.1 (Danish). I thought brilliant. I watched it twice from tv then went and bought the dvd, haven't watched The Killing 2 yet.

The American version of The Killing, not as good, and I believe from my daughter, that it finished halfway through! She asked me did the schoolteacher do it?...no.... so I don't know when they will even finish
season 1..

Watched the second episode of The Bridge and now Mr Q and I are hooked - even though we don't like the snotty policewoman and really the sex scenes are not necessary at all. Everything seems grey in this series. Thank goodness the US version of The Killing is back next wednesday - we really enjoyed that.
