Now you're just showing off.

That list surprises me, I've never rated Anne as good as Mark or Shaun on the programme. I can't quite pick which of those two are my favourite, Mark has an air of superiority which I find attractive but Shaun also commands my respect.
How the hell does CJ warrant his place on E/H, he spends most of the time on the dunces stool in the final rounds?
Unlike Mastermind, University Challenge and the much-missed 15-1, Eggheads isn't JUST a quiz show, trt. It's half quiz, half light entertainment, and the ribbing / banter is part of it. The Chase is similar in that aspect.
Anne is the best female quizzer in the country, with the possible exception of Kathryn Johnson.
I like all the Chasers, Anne is my favourite, bet she has a wicked sense of humour and would be a great companion for a night out.
I prefer the "Old School"quizzers, from the days of 15-1...Daphne Fowler..Michael Penrice..Amy Godel..a pilot..Nick something? and there was a big chap,a Scottish Minister,Bill something?..more names will come to me!..I wonder if those people are still quizzing?
Thats Nick Terry and Bill McKaig...apologies,chaps,forgetting your names!
'' It's half quiz, half light entertainment, and the ribbing / banter is part of it.
You don't see much entertainment/banter from the E/H Mark, they rarely smile except for Daphne, and that Chris is a right old miserable sod :-)

Anne is great company, Lynne. Hugely entertaining and very funny.
Daphne is still quizzing at local level, as far as I know, but doesn't take part in the nationals / internationals so does not have any current ranking points. She was Brain of Britain in 1997.
Chris Hughes (who was my first quizzing hero!) still plays at pub quiz level, I believe, but also doesn't attend ranking events. He won Brain of Britain in 2005.

Loved reading this thread & all the facts. I just love Eggheads & the Chase.
Mark Rae - when will we see you in a tv quiz show or have we missed it?
When I'm good enough to win one, roslyn...
definitely worth another viewing!
I love the Chase, I hate when someone opts for the minus amount and love when even at that one step closer to home the chaser catches them at the end-greedy sods, if they're not good enough to play on the sum they raised on the cash builder, they shouldn't be there. I love the banter on the Chase, Bradley is so funny and some of the questions really do get him in knots of laughter, he just can't hold a straight face. The Chasers are fantastic and not smug like those on eggheads, a quiz show I detest
Bradley is a brilliant host on The Chase. It might surprise some people, because he plays up his 'cheeky chappie' image, to learn that he's an extremely intelligent man and an excellent quizzer in his own right. During the rehearsals for the original series he often took part as a contestant and frequently won.

Watching that "juvenile"performance,I now know why I never watch it!
Mark that gave me a right old laugh, I loved it that day.
I agree Dave and as trt said, those that take the lower amount should only go home with that amount. It really annoys me that 99% of the time those that go for the lower amount aren't that bright anyway, yet if they win at the final, they get thousands!
I think my favourite is Paul and I agree Mark, I realised that Bradley is very intelligent because of some of the comments he has made on the show and he is so funny. I do love all the Chasers though.
