....is no longer having to keep a secret!
Months ago my sister in law suggested we all....there's a good few of us.....go over to Ireland for my brother's big birthday.....next April.....
Without him knowing!

She'd get him there for a romantic break to celebrate and.....we'd all turn up and shout....
Surprise!!!
How hard it's been not to mention it when he's around.......it's as if your tongue just can't wait to get you into bother.....

But, thank the lord, she's decided to tell him which is a good idea......at his great age the shock could be dangerous........hello brother......I know you're reading this....and I can stop behaving like a tongue tied idiot when I see you..... ;-)
Love.....your sister....the young one.....xxx

That is a relief! Is your brother a member here? I have a friend who loves doing surprise parties etc and I know I am highly likely to blurt out something to the wrong person at the wrong time... life is complicated... Hope you all have a great time though :-) xxx
I'm good with secrets and not passing on gossip but that's because I have a rubbish memory :-)

He's not, Pixie....he looks in to keep tabs on what the daft bat is up to......x

It's when we're all chatting about arranging holidays, Ummmm and remembering not to say....well we'll be in Ireland in April......or him asking .....Are you going home next year?....I just blush....x
>>> and I can stop behaving like a tongue tied idiot when I see you

I can't imagine you ever being 'tongue-tied' somehow, Gness ;-)
Sounds good gness. May I ask what age your brother will be? My brother is 80yrs old this year. Yikes!!
That's a huge relief, Gness. I'm sure you'll all enjoy the party.
I went to a hen do. We were told we were going to Paris but it quickly got leaked we were going to Dublin (disappointed me) I think everyone in the group mentioned Dublin to the hen :-)
//he looks in to keep tabs on what the daft bat is up to//
he's not the only one

Gness, you notice Chris didn't deny the "idiot " part of your post... :-). It's like "don't mention the war", the more you aren't supposed to, the more you think about it.

Only when I have to lie, Chris......although I don't think blethering is really being tongue tied....just not making any sense as I get redder and redder......x

I'll be honest, Barsel and tell you he'll be sixty.....or is it seventy?...Nope.....sixty.....but doesn't look a day older than me... ;-)

It is, Tilly......it's okay keeping quiet but telling fibs is difficult.....I like to go to Ireland in May but blurted out at one point......won't be going till June next year because of......Arrgghhhhh!!

Dublin or Paris....Dublin for me every time, Ummmm....x
Nah...not a fan of Dublin especially in groups. Always end up in Templebar which is too touristy.
Question Author
Thanks, Ael.......and he now knows you and I share an interest in frilly shower caps.... :-)

Missed that, Pixie....Chris can make up for it by buying the drinks if we meet up.....!
