Humphrey Littleton's illness delays I S I H A C recordings...

I have just learned that because Humphrey Littleton is recovering from an operation to repair an aortic aneurism, the Spring recordings of the latest series of I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue have been posponed until he recovers. My best wishes for a full and speedy recovery go out to him.

I went to see the ISIHAC stage show earlier this month.
I thought that he looked quite frail then.
I'm so pleased that I finally got the opportunity to personally experience 'Monington Crescent' .

My very best wishes go to Humph...........

I though his surname was spelt Lyttelton.

Anyway, I have to say he has been a perfect host for ISIHAC since it started (has he ever missed an episode?)

Although not a comedian as such his delivery of lines is perfect, with a great gift of timing, and also inflection, changing the tone of a phrase to make it sound like a compliment one minute, then an insult the next.

You can listen to some great clips here (I particular like the one from Nottingham about Boots the chemist)

he's 86, so looking frail is to be expected.

Sorry to say, the great man died to-day. He was a major part of ISAHAC and he will be missed by many.

No doubt Radio Four will broadcast a tribute to him in the near future.
