I was thinking just that myself last night, but it may be another actor if all the gossip is to believed.

I am a bit surprise at the last couple of episodes to be honest. Tony took a fair degree of the drama only recently, when he had his heart attack.

Now why can't it have been Helen that got in the way of Otto ? Even better, the Ghastly Rob !
Yes, it's to be a new actor. The BBC people were talking about it a few weeks ago. I have to say though, that I must be the only person in the UK never to have listened to The Archers or seen The Sound of music either or liked Fawlty Towers.
Sorry, I digress,. xx
janbee...I am reeling in shock ! Leaving aside the flipping Sound of Music, please give the Archers a try. Someone on here said yesterday that they never found Dad Army funny at all. I thought that was incredible, but Fawlty Towers ! ! ! I am fumbling for the smelling salts as I type.
We all have different tastes, I've never found Fools and Horses, 'Allo 'Allo nor Peter Kay particularly funny. Re PK, being from Notlob myself, I can't see what's wrong with half of what he says! I wonder how other people refer to the main central light hanging from the ceiling? we always said "the big light"!
janbee - I nearly went into premature labour when Basil started thrashing the car with a branch! OK I've seen 'Sound of Music' (it's hard to avoid) no comment.

Tony is still alive, Rob is moving in to make Helen even more dependent and Tom had not answered his phone this afternoon! Tense times.

We were discussing getting rid of the Archers and Tony the other week - do the writers look at AB?
The scriptwriters are getting awfully close to the wire with this business of selling up in Ambridge and moving oop north. Someone reassure me that there will be a last minute reprieve....please !
Will Tony have a heart attack when he finds out Otto has gone to the abattoir, that's what I want to know?
What ? another one !
He loved that bull, poor man, poor bull. I've never seen it and I had a lump in my throat:-))
I'm not really sure why Otto had to go in the first place ? Is there some kind of H+S rule that says that as soon as a bull gets more than a little playful, it has to be slaughtered ? Its hardly his fault, after all.
Quite. As usual, human's fault, animal loses life.

Don't know about H&S rules, perhaps someone can enlighten us. Pity Helen and Rob didn't get in the way.

I'd have cheerfully thrown Susan Carter in front of the bull and poked it with a cattle prod:-)
Yes, I think sending Otto to the abbatoir was unnecessary (after you with the cattle prod, carrust) Tony's going to be very upset, probably be trying to find another one from his wheelchair.
Currust...spot on ! The Prodigal Son has indeed returned !

Flipping heck...another new voice to get used to. That's two in one week !
Really? I must set the alarm for the 2 o clock replay.
Oh...sorry Hopkirk...didn't realise !
Hardly a big spoiler
Oh well...I won't mention the multiple pile-up on the Borchester by-pass, when Justin Elliot, Charley, Helen and Elizabeth were all killed then. Better wait until tomorrow.
Damn, Rob must have survived.
Mikey, it is obvious what is going to happen.

The amateur traffic survey will convince the council to withdraw authority to build the road.

David and Ruth will decide to stay put.

Everyone is happy (except Justin, Charlie, Brian and Adam)
