The irony is that she looked last night as though she was trying a lot harder to actually dance, laden with faults though that dancing was. Perhaps if she'd made the effort earlier rather than going for just comedy routines to music then she'd have reached a slightly better standard by this point. OK, she'd still have gone out, but perhaps with a little more dignity than she has done.
