X Factor What Happened with the Deadlock Vote

but why did they ask Cheryl second? the judges whose acts are in the bottom two always get asked last! She should have been last, and then she could put it to deadlock... obviously she is not gonna pick one over the other!!

That two votes for Treyc, one vote for Katie. By my reckoning, it shouldn't have gone to deadlock.

i didn't get why dermot asked cheryl second, but i guess it was because they were both her acts and the deadlock thing would have put her in a worse position anyway

Butch, according to what others have said, Cheryl refused to vote. How then did the two bottom acts receive 2 votes each?

She can only make it deadlock by voting. As things stood, the voting was 2-1 in Katie's favour. Sending it to deadlock would have required Cheryl to vote for Katie, thus giving the them two votes each.

If Cheryl sent Katie home then it would have went to deadlock and the public vote would come into place, Cheryl opted out as she obviously didn't want to choose between her girls, but that is what the judges are there for, otherwise let it be a public vote, as they if done in Strictly! Cheryl got off the hook tonight!

I agree with butch. It was made easier for Cheryl to take it to deadlock and that would have been the fair thing to do.

I hear that the same group who got Rage Against The Machine to the last Christmas number 1 instead of the X Factor winner are voting for Wagner in huge numbers every week in order to make him win.
