About 15 - 20 years ago, I watched a TV programme about a true unsolved murder in Woodhouse Eaves. I think it took place sometime in the early 20th century but I can't remember anything more. It was a very intriguing case with plenty of red herrings.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? i have tried Googling with no luck so far.

The only unsolved murder in that area I can think of is the Green Bicyle Murder in 1919. It is the murder of Bella Wright in Little Stretton and that is a very intriguing case. You can read about it: http://www.leicesterc....com/greenbicycle.htm

Thank you for taking the trouble to reply to my query. I am sorry that I could not thank you before but my computer crashed at the beginning of the week and I have only today taken delivery of a new one.

The mistake was mine. The murder I was thinking of took place in Bashall Eaves & not Woodhouse Eaves. I have now found out that the victim was John Dawson, a farmer, in 1934.

I know of the Green Bicycle murder of Bella Wright. That took place on the outskirts of Leicester.

Again, many thanks for your post.
