Can anyone tell me is this the same format as last year's show? I can't remember the boys and girls dancing separately in the first 4 episodes last year.

Yes they danced separately for the first few weeks. I think they said there are more contestants this year than last year though.

I think that they have more couples this time as well - there were 16 couples starting this time.
