That's exactly what I thought last night. I missed last week as well, and wondered if they had explained that he had left, in that programme. I've just looked up the website for it, and they refer to him, saying he's been on the island a year now... as if he's still in it! I thought in the last series that he had changed so much, lost all of his confidence and happy personality, that he and his family should go back to his previous parish, where he was so obviously loved and appreciated.
