Jason and the Argonauts

Can anyone tell me who played Poseidon (holding the cliffs apart) in the 1963 Ray HarryHausen version of Jason and the Argonauts?

A friend says its Bill Travers but its not listed on IMBD and I don't think it's him though another friend has a vague recollection of Travers doing a spoof of the scene in a TV ad (BT perhaps?)

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

The actor who played the character variously described as Poseidon/Triton/The Merman was never credited, and seems completely forgotten.
