Hill Street Blues

Have the daytime re-runs of 'Hill Street Blues' on Channel 4 finished?

I've been away, and I set my digi-box to record the series, and it seems to have stopped, and i can't find it in the listings.

My memory is far too hazy to recall the original runs I watched in the '80's, so is there a 'finale' or did it just stop?

The whole run finished on Monday - that episode was the last one ever made. As from tomorrow though - usual time - it looks like they are re running it from the beginning again.

Thanks Postdog for your confirmation - that means i do have all the shows up to and including the last one.

I have mixed feelings about the re-start - on the on ehand i will be thrilled to watch everything for the third time, but on the other hand, all that time when i should be doing something more useful will be taken up with watching HSB.

Then again, in my opinion, that is useful!

It was a catalyst for many a future cop show and it spanned alot of upcoming talent my delight was trying to spot who i thought i saw either becoming big stars or actors that went on to some of the main shows of today,in hill street saw a young kathy bates, and tim bottoms, then i saw a young horatio from csi and then another thing was trying to locate the original actors in mainstream programmes, saw lieutenant goldblaum playing a senior player in some crime drama anyone else do this?

You get that a lot now that all the old shows are being re-run. I saw a young Jamie Lee Curtis, pre Halloween, on Quincy the other week.

Going back to HSB, I won't be watching it again, because aside from the original run which I used to watch twice a week before it moved to 4 (thames and anglia), I also recorded the whole run on 4, and have seen it twice on More4. I love it, but sadly enough is enough....Maybe in another 20 years. I just hope ITV3 doesn't start repeats of L A Law again!
