The only programme that springs to mind like that is "Terrahawks" from the early eighties.

(10:02 on Thu 01/Jul/04) It does sound like Terrahawks. The Rolling balls were called Zeroids and the head ball was voiced by Windsor Davis.I thought this was produced in the 80's though. Great theme tune as I recall.

(12:28 on Thu 01/Jul/04) Didn't the balls play noughts and crosses at the end?

I remember watching it when I was around 4 or 5 and I still remember how absolutely terrified Zelda the evil witch used to make me. Even now just looking at her picture gives me goosebumps and the fright just rushes back! |

(18:46 on Thu 01/Jul/04) The Terrahawks was another series by Gerry Anderson, who did Thunderbirds amongst others. He used to produce the earlier series with his wife Sylvia, and I believe she provided the voice for Lady Penelope. However they fell out in later years, and, I read somewhere, he said that he had his (ex) wife in mind when he modelled Zelda

(02:06 on Sun 04/Jul/04) Windsor Davies ( " Fine Pair of Shoulders " ) provided the voice of one the Zeroids
