Cult TV series

10:31 on Wed 30/Jun/04 We are stumped at work. Can anyone remember the 60s/70s programme, American I think, which was a bit like Captain Scarlet/Joe 90 etc., with the vehicles... and there was one in particular that used to pop out these little rolling balls? Some had a cross, some had a circle on them... I can't remember what it was called but I am sure I didn't imagine it... My colleagues think I am crazy! Thanks.

(12:02 on Wed 30/Jun/04) The only programme that springs to mind like that is "Terrahawks" from the early eighties.

Try this link to see if this is the programme your thinking of http://www.erinshore.com/terrahawks/main.html

(10:02 on Thu 01/Jul/04) It does sound like Terrahawks. The Rolling balls were called Zeroids and the head ball was voiced by Windsor Davis.I thought this was produced in the 80's though. Great theme tune as I recall.

(12:28 on Thu 01/Jul/04) Didn't the balls play noughts and crosses at the end?

(15:01 on Thu 01/Jul/04) I remember watching it when I was around 4 or 5 and I still remember how absolutely terrified Zelda the evil witch used to make me.

Even now just looking at her picture gives me goosebumps and the fright just rushes back!

(18:46 on Thu 01/Jul/04) The Terrahawks was another series by Gerry Anderson, who did Thunderbirds amongst others. He used to produce the earlier series with his wife Sylvia, and I believe she provided the voice for Lady Penelope. However they fell out in later years, and, I read somewhere, he said that he had his (ex) wife in mind when he modelled Zelda
