location of house in The Holiday

Have just seen the movie The Holiday, which is a nice classic chick flick. Does anyone know if the cotage owned by Kate Winslet's character is real and, if so, where exactly it is? The film gives the impression the cottage is close to the Surrey village of Shere, but technology can do all sorts of things these days.

It is filmed in Shere and Gomshall - just outside Guildford, Surrey. Give me Cameron's house over that cottage any day!
