Done a search and yes, there are lots of posts saying who it is. Lots of different posts and lots of different stigs. Who do you think it is and how do you know?

Couldnt find anything on the website about him being The Stig, and d'oh! just finished watching TG at 8pm there, wish id known it was on the credits earlier!

Do you think he did actually get stopped by the police and they just turned it into a funny, or set it up in advance?
Soooo....are we sure it is Ben Collins then? Is there any proof, or is it just speculation? Looks like it could be him but can't find any sites that say it definately is him...

4getmenot, i appreciate all the time you've taken answering this post, really, thank you, it's just that i haven't seen any real proof that its Ben. He does seem to be the most likely candidate but most of the things ive read saying it is him are only peoples opinions based on the fact he's admitted being involved in some of Top Gears stunts. The newspaper article is probably the closest thing to proof we're going to get however, but as you said, it is a newspaper and they havent even given any proof either!
